The commercial razor wire or helical style is produced on two diameters (18" and 24") +/- 2", when measured across the center of the packaged coil.(ASTM F 1379-95)
A single helical coil is fabricated from:
Barbed tape AISI 430 stainless steel with a minimum Rockwell hardness of (30N) 35-40 or galvanized high tensile steel.
Core wire will be galvanized with a diameter .098" with a minimum tensile strength of 220,000 psi or stainless steel wire (301 SS) with a diameter .098 with a minimum tensile strength of 140,000 psi.
The tape will be 1" wide prior to forming
Each razor sharp barb will be 2.4"+/- 5% long from tip to tip; 4" O.C. around the coil loop.
Mostly recommended for private and industrial uses
